Course Withdrawal: Procedure & Guidelines

What to Know Before Withdrawing

  1. Course withdrawal has academic and financial consequences. Please read the guidelines carefully before proceeding.
  2. When submitting a withdrawal, indicate your main reason.
  3. International students are strongly encouraged to consult with their academic advisor or department chair to understand how withdrawal may affect their graduation plan.
  4. Although your instructor may approve your application, the Teaching Affairs Section has the right to deny it.

Withdrawal Procedure

  1. Application Period: Refer to the Academic Calendar
  2. Ineligible Courses: Courses already forfeited are not eligible for withdrawal.
  3. Withdrawal Limit: Maximum of 2 courses per semester.
  4. Transcript Note: Withdrawn courses appear on transcripts with a "W" and earn 0 credits.
  5. Tuition Policy:You must pay full credit fees, even for withdrawn courses.No refunds will be given for withdrawn courses.If you haven’t paid before withdrawing, you are still responsible for the full payment.
